Stratum II is a multifunctional public installation that combines seating and planters within one continuous form. Custom-designed for the public space of a shopping mall, the project creates an informal landscape that encourages people to pause, gather, and interact.
Its soft, curved geometries form a small-scale topography of seating and greenery, where paired elements respond to one another through light, shadow, and movement across the space. Designed and produced in-house in our Rotterdam workshop using recycled plastic and robotic fabrication, Stratum II brings warmth, tactility, and spatial identity to a high-traffic public environment.
