Maintenance

The New Raw furniture is designed for long-term indoor and outdoor use with minimal maintenance requirements. Produced from recycled plastic through robotic 3D printing, the pieces do not require oiling, painting, or protective coatings commonly associated with wood or metal furniture.

The material is weather-resistant, non-corrosive, and suitable for high-use public and professional environments.

Regular cleaning helps preserve the appearance and tactility of the printed surfaces.

For everyday maintenance, products can be cleaned with water, pressured air, or low- to medium-pressure water systems. For deeper cleaning, use cleaning agents suitable for polypropylene together with non-abrasive cloths or soft brushes.

Due to the layered nature of robotic 3D printing, outdoor surfaces may collect dust or particles over time. Periodic cleaning is recommended, especially in exposed public environments.

Our materials are treated with UV stabilisers to improve colour durability in outdoor conditions.

Over long periods of direct sun exposure, slight colour variation or gradual fading may occur. This is a natural characteristic of recycled plastic exposed to weather and does not affect the structural performance or longevity of the product.

We consider aging and patina part of the material’s lifecycle in public space.

All products are mono-material and fully recyclable.

Minor surface damage can often be repaired or refinished. Production leftovers and misprints are reprocessed within our own system, allowing material to remain in circulation.

Designed for durability and disassembly, our products are built to remain in use for the long term.
