Magma

For the Ace & Tate store in Berlin, a custom pedestal was created in vibrant lime, featuring the distinctive Magma texture. Made from recycled plastic and produced through robotic 3D printing, the piece brings a bold and tactile presence to the retail space.
Magma approaches melted plastic waste as a form of liquid rock; a material that flows, cools, and solidifies into organic formations. Inspired by volcanic processes, it embraces free-shape patterns, surface irregularities, and the natural depth of stone. The result is tectonic and expressive, shaped through a dialogue between human intention and robotic precision.
More than a surface treatment, Magma is a study in material transformation: from overlooked waste into solid, colorful matter.
